Ha ha ha ha ha!!!
They're very dirty because I took them both last night and today for a very high speed lesson. The S600 wins hands down, ridiculously fast. I timed the 0-60mph and o-100mph and I got around 4.4 secs and 9.9 secs respectively. I could not believe such smooth speed could be had with the amount of gadgets this car has on board [B)][B)] Knock out performance. There is a S65 w221 on the way also, we've been told its July delivery at earliest. I can actually wait because the S600 is so amazing that I just cannot imagine the S65 will hold any surprises.[:D]

Thanks for the compliments everyone! My Uncle is the lucky one, he is a great guy and he deserves everything he has [:)]
Honestly speaking these cars are not driven slowly. The S600 is one of the finest luxury sedans out there was actually purchased for its phenominal acceleration while as we all know, retaining its amazing finesse. It is never driven slowly and hence it will almost always be dirrrrrrrrrrty [:p]
The dirt gives it a bad-boy look. Its like saying yeah its a V12 and I know how to drive it baby! [8D]
Same goes for the Gemballa. To each his own. Although if it was mine it would be cleaned every 3 days or dusted (whichever is more appropriate). But my Uncle is cool and he is vey busy so he doesn't have as much time as I do.
The S65 will be coming in July at the earliest. I noted that asianml said that the S65 will be better handling than this 600. I am not too sure about that because this one is amazing around corners and when manoevring 'in and out' on the freeway. Dare I say it is even a little harsher than usual on the speed bumps which suggests firmer suspension? The rims are 20s and the rear tyres are 35 profile, of course this has a bearing on the issue. I would have though that it is possible that AMG suspension was an option on this car, so maybe it has it. I will have to ask my Uncle when it is appropriate.
I would love to have some reliable performance figures for this car if anyone has them to hand. Has anyone got figures for the forthcoming S65?
By the way I did not photo the interior because all the TVs and screens have plastic protective films on them. There are 2 AUX points in the rear centre armrest for PS2 or Xbox as well as a DVD player in the same place, headphone points, fridge, 2 telephones, panoramic roof front and back, tables (or whatever theyre called) to put the laptops on, 6 disc DVD/CD, as well as everything else. I do not know what is standard or not so Ive pointed out the impressive things!
I could not believe that it had ALL the Digital TV channels as well!!!
Things like Sky Sports News, Sky News, BBC 1,1,3,4 ITV 1,2,3,4 UK Living, E4, E4+1, More 4, Red Hot (Sex channel, although no images appeared, thank God because kids may play and see it) as well as so many other free Digital Channels. The even more amazing thing is that the pictures were perfect and it was a very windy night on tuesday.
I will say one thing and that is the front passenger seat obstructs the driver's view when looking to the road through to the other side of the passenger. No matter how the seat was adjusted there was always an unwelcome obstruction. The TV on the rear of the headrests are not inside the headrest but are on a pod that sticks out siginificantly. That was the only negative thing to be said about it. Ive been in the S350 W221 and there is a big difference in terms of the panels and options, So when I checked the S600 out I was blown away!
Cometo think about it, the S65 will have to be very different otherwise it will not sell. That means a real surprise awaits us in July!!! I must say I am in love. Because I never felt like this about the W220. The S65 W220 was too loud, the rims did not look great (looked too skinny and Small) and the quality was not what one would expect. The W221 is certainly something that oozes quality and I would bet serious money that Mercedes learnt from the mistakes in the W140 and W220. However, it is all about personal experience and not just statements of intent by Mercedes. Time will tell.
Please note this is my opinion and is derived from my experiences, not yours! So if your S65 is perfect then I am very happy for you and long may it stay that way!

Not as hard as yours Storm!! [:D]
I will try and get interior pics when I get a good chance. Hopefully my uncle will have taken off all the plastic off the screens and taken out the floor coverings (cardboard, surprisingly over all the carpets), its a left hand drive by the way not sure if there are any S600 righters in the UK yet?

Thank you for a very welcome compliment 1996_s500, much appreciated. I will try and get more pics of mine and the S600 (its actually in Surrey at the moment). Ive got my Banking and Finance exams in early May so Im trying to study hard. My Uncle's fault for having to get the 600 now. At least the black S65 (W221) he ordered will be coming July at the earliest so I will take sooooo many pics in the Summer days and I am going to give it a good spanking to show it that Im am the boss not its crazy Bi-Turbo V12 [:p]
I wouldnt mind having a sweet S500 like yours [:p]! W140 S500 is one car that would be in my classic car collection if I ever earn the privilege. Such a fantastic car in all areas compared to all the other W140 models. Very creative pic of your car with the doors open nd the windows equally lowered

I agree the tips on the 600 are cool they have a little angle to the outside. Suits the S600 perfectly but I must say they are not sporty enough to displace the AMG ones on the S65. Maybe if they had a large AMG stamp on them they would look a lot sportier [8D]
