Ok - I'm slightly confused looking at the pictures of this U1200 on the exchange. It was my understanding that this style of depressed hood was a clear indicator of a U1000, made possible by the lack of the turbo.

Am I mistaken?

It is probably a U1000 with poss a turbo,as the turbo will still ft under the lower bonnet( sorry, hood!)it may also be that the owner has retro fitted a U1000 bonnet and grill for the increased visibility that it gives.

Was there ever a U1200 that left the factory without a Turbo? If not, then surely the owner needs to be a tad more honest in his description, and still advertise it as a U1000 but with power increases.I have a U1000 that is running 130bhp n/a,and am also looking to add the turbo soon, however, I would never try and advertise it as anythign but what it is.I'm sure there is a good explanation and I am just talking bollocks.

Also looks like the air filter is blocked.

And it has Jeep rear lights......lmao

I think the owner probably doesn't really know exactly what they have, and all 424 series trucks look very similar, so they probably ass-u-me it is a U1200, when it is actually a U1000. The only way to know for sure is to see the first 6 digits of the Vin and get to the bottom of what it actually is. FWIW, there is very little difference between a U1000 and U1200 except for the hood/grille and the engine size.

Cheers,
Ben
