I've noticed that some early R107s were fitted wit two-tone interior. I'm not much of a fan of these interiors but I was wondering how long Mercedes supplied R107s with two-tone interiors?

Were these interiors an option on the earlier cars or were they standard?

I have a 73 with a two tone interior and like the combination. As far as an option, I have the original window sticker and the only option listed is cruise control. So, I think for at least that year two tone was standard.

I have a '78 450SLC who's history is murky at best. The front seats are MBTex in standard black. The rear seat is MBTex and was dyed by a previous owner. The original color was black bolsters with the textured center sections red. Needless to say I reapplied the black.
