1. My car will be sitting for 3 weeks once I get back from Utah for 3 weeks on the 20th...will the battery be dead?

2. The other day I started the car and all of the systems such as blind spot and distronic were "disabled" for no reason and no error code...after about 20 min of driving they restored themselves. Has anyone else seen this?

Congratulations & Welcome to the R231 SL forum...:)..

Parking 3 weeks should not be a problem because your car & battery are new.....

Unless you do a lot of short driving distance then the battery my not be 100% fully charge......

Just to be safe, I would think about putting maintenance/float chargers on it. If the batteries do go dead, not only will the car not start, but it will lose all memory held in the CPU. It will need to be driven for about 100-200 miles or more to re-develop it's learned senses of how you drive. If during that time or shortly after your return, your car needs an emission test, it likely will abort the test for lack of data. And again will need to be driven to get it to redevelop the learning algorythms.

Maint/float charger is well worth the money.
