Turn signal Puzzle

Hi, I have a '78 450 SLC. The turn signals flash very quickly when engine is cold. Normally, quick flashing means a blown bulb, in this case, all bulbs are good, after the car warms up, the indicators slow to normal speed. Any ideas ?

Searching for the solution to this issue you will find a few solutions from PelicanParts forum. One of the posts is about using VW/Audi part (part 111.953.227 D). Just wanted to report that this solution doe NOT work. (at least it didn't with my car).

Ended up ordering a new relay (Bosch 0 335 200 007) - around $60.
On my old 67' 220D fast flashing meant that on of the bulbs was out. Maybe you have a loose or dirty connection to one or more of the bulbs.
Just got the new one today - works like a charm.
