I have read on here that when your turn signal wont "lock" into place and you have to hold it one way or the other to keep the signal on all you have to do is file down the area it locks into. I have taken off the turn signal and just wanted to make sure I am on the right track before I mess anything up. Also if this is the right area its quite tight any suggestion on what to use to file it down?

Use a "dremel" with a dentists type burr and do the notch which the round roller drops into.
Thanks - I have what I need I just wanted to make sure is the circled area on the picture the correct area I should be notching?

notching

Not the one circled, but the notch the roller drops into
dig it a slight amount deeper until it stays,

You will see the wear pattern and have access to it when you hold the lever to one position, then do the other position
