Turbo versus non turbo

I am looking and going to get a 300td. I want
to hear feedback on this subject. I did drive a
1985td turbo and a 1979td non turbo. I didnt feel
a differance. Possibly one or both needed tranny
linkage adjustments. The 85 did have an exhaust
leak. Please any feedback would be appreciated.
I have owned a great running 300D. Very fast for a non-turbo. Then I got the 300TD wagon...which is like a Ferrari by comparison. It is ALOT faster from a dead stop, to about 50 mph or so....nice for freeway onramps and such. Not to mention just better acceleration in any gear, any situation. I strongly recommend the turbo car. If you could not tell the difference between the two, the turbo was not working!
Good luck

GJ
gj thanks so much for responce. Come to think of it, the 85 turbo didn't have an air filter nor
the filter housing. Glad I didn't get that one.
Any low mileage td's out there for sale in the northeast? Ebay has two beauty's right now. They
are A1 examples. I couldn't buy either with out
a garage for it. So I have settle for one that will be outside all the time. Any more feedback?
thanks.
Please provide an email address...I have a car you may be interested in.

GJ
