Thanks Zedd, I will put a gauge in this wknd if I can sneak over to my shop. I mainly want one for fuel mileage but it would be nice to monitor everything I can.
This car still doesn't have the hyper-drive effect when the turbo kicks in the other TD has but it is getting better. Looking at the alda today someone has broken the adjustment bolt right above the lock nut. I hope they had it correctly adjusted.
Thanks again, Brent

I would love to see pictures if you end up doing this.

Im new to everything turbo.... is it possible to run a magnehelic pressure gauge across the air filter to get an idea when it might be time to clean/change?

You cannot tee the ALDA line, it needs boost to provide more fuel. If the nut is broken the ALDA is certainly leaking. Take off or replace it.

Air filter, I just check/replace it every oil change.

I installed a boost gauge several years ago. Teed off the pressure line running from the banjo bolt at the back of the intake manifold and the "Switchover valve overload protection" on the firewall (which then goes to the ALDA).
As for a magnehelic on the air filter, the Ford F250 7.3li diesel has a clear plastic spring-loaded plunger affair on the air filter housing that is supposed to tell you when the air filter is loaded up too much. However, I've never seen it indicate anything (i.e., the filter gets pretty ugly, and the indicator hasn't moved).

after doing some browsing of gauges I've noticed 30 psi and 65 psi gauges... about how much boost is made on a functioning turbo on a 300CD?

Banjo Bolt?

Is this the banjo bolt?.... If so, what is its purpose other than "T"ing off of for a bost gauge?

Thanks again to everyone with this incredibly basic questions
