If you search the forums there is a thread (or two) on a 411 with VW TDI, might be the same truck.

I'd bet money the trucks are the same; I recognize the man standing by the truck in the picture.

I've been looking into doing a similar swap, using a TD motor. From pictures, and measurements of my 401, I think I've been able to figure out most of the required alterations.
The item I can't figure out is why the owner had to reshape the pedals. I was hoping new pictures would show what gets in the way.

This is another option and requirers less modifications.
there are 3 diferent options including a turbo 2.5 and the 1.8, 2.2 etc

there is not exact match for the bell housing but it takes much less work than using a TDI engine.

Sure looks like the engine found in the Hagglunds, I just don recall the #'s for the 5 or 6 cyl versions. The 6 cyl. I had revved to 4200 or 4600 RPMs and that would get all the gears singing in a mini mog.
