Probably, but you would have to upgrade the drivetrain and brakes. The transmission and diff are not overdimensioned. Broke my diff after 50,000 km, probably due to lots of first gear starts.
There used to be a compressor kit for the 500, giving it 50% more horsepower, but personally I would not risk it without upgrades.
