Everything is possible with a large wallet. But first and foremost you should take of appearance and the suspension. Nice pair of lowering springs, Bilstein sport shocks, front sway bar of your choice, and an EvoII rear sway bar will completely make you love the 190 ten times more. Then comes time for power since you can then use it. People do the 3.0 swaps because it is simply a more powerful bigger engine. There are also other choices for the swap to such as the M104 3.6l AMG engine and the M104 3.2l engine. You dont see many turbos because of the fact that its damn expensive, and ya gotta know what your doing since the car isnt gonna be completely "reliable". Also if you wanna go turbo you should convert to EFI first and gonna have to make or have someone make the turbo and intake manifolds (so you cant just "throw" on a turbo). Your car is carbed which is like Flinstones shit nowadays. You can use any aftermarket ECU of your choice, but Megasquirt II is the most liked for EFI 190 conversions. For the manny swap you could go for the regular 190 5-speed tranny or get the 2.3-16 getrag (dogleg) 5-speed.
I say you start on the appearance and suspension of your car first and go from there since I dont think you know how much money your getting into with the manny swap(gonna cost around 2k) and a custom turbo set-up
