I have an 02 CL500. It does not have the power open/close trunk but like all CLs, the trunk pulls itself shut the last inch or so. A week or so it stopped doing this and I noticed that the trunk lights no longer light.
By the way, I was able to trick the pneumatic pulldown into working by jumping the control switch so I know that part actually works,
I've read all forum advice for both issues and cannot be certain which fuse to pull to reset the door close assist pump because the fuse chart is missing. In lieu of that, I disconnected the main battery negative for an hour but the problem still exists.
Any advice from you experts? I'm puzzled as to why the lights are off as well.
