Hello;
I went out to my car and tried to open the trunk with a key and found the lock frozen.

Here is how I diyed it.
Remove the two large screws,
Unhook the vacuum line and power wire,
snap off dust cover and pry tab to release lock/latch,
snap off clip and remove arms,
snap out large ring,
pry out clip and cylinder slides out,
disassemble and clean everything,

ALSO, lube this lock as part of service !!!

locks

Beware taking locks apart is easy - putting them back together is not. This turned into quite an epic for me...

this happens to me every morning when I was in Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba... I thought the edge of the trunk is frozen, so every time after I driven the car for a while, the trunk could be open again.
