Hello,

I have a 1997 SL600 with the sport package. I would be interested in purchasing:

1) The passenger side tow hook cover (P/N WA1298800405). I know it's on parts.com, but I thought I'd see if one was for sale from another user first. I know these fall off all the time; the car was purchased without it, I will secure it with a cable tie!

2) The passenger side front bumper light. I actually only need the lens cover, if possible; the bulb is intact.

3) Are the oil dipsticks for the SL500 and SL600 identical? If so, I would like to purchase this as well.

Cheers,
Tom

Hello,

I own a black SL600, 1997. I am looking for the part shown in the picture below, which is in the front bumper. Does this have a name / part number? Does anyone know where I might find one for sale? The car's in storage for the winter, so no rush!

Try searching this forum for 'tow hook cover' ... it's a popular (and expensive) item!

Tom I have also have a black SL600, 1998. just had the bumper skin off and refinished as it was cracked. You have a AMG bumper there and that is not the tow cover as it is attached by 2 screws in the back of the bumper under the driving light. I tried to attach a photo of the part as I was putting my bumper back together after I got it back from the shop. I have no idea what its part number is. Sorry.
