I have a customer who is not a computer guy, so he had a buddy of his send me a photo of his mog that he mounted a tree spade to. I think he did quite a great job! He says it works great, and is looking for another mog maybe.

During frequent trips to the east end I pass a farm that has a Mack COE with a spade. My partner and I often remark that we could do a good trade with a flatbed sprinter and a well built unimog with how often they swap out their landscaping.

So Von, how close to the cab can stow that unit?

Nice setup. Von, remember that guy in Pigeon Forge, TN, who had the two rusty mogs for sale (years ago)? He was a tree spade dealer. That would be a good business around here during real estate boom times. Maybe in 25 years or so I'll look into it LOL.

i need someone with a tree spade!

so i just bought bought a new house and there are 3 trees blocking a nice view. The 3 trees are on the neighbors property and they told me i could have them moved. The first thought in my head was unimog, i would love to watch one in action and now here is my excuse! I have a case unit but no tree spade. Francis do you know which place had the spade? for those of you know who don't know, i live on long island in suffolk county. Scott

Well Steve, the tree farm in question is way out in southampton, across from the diner on montauk highway and also not for sale. I'd call consrvatree in Huntington as I recall they ran and probably still do run spades and helped my uncle out a lot back in the day.

Any one have a clue on how much it cost to hire a tree spade service?
I know pick up the phone book and call... but a general idea is fine.
