My problem started with the following...
http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r170-slk-class/1495341-problem.html

Yesterday morning I turned on the car and moved it for just some inches I felt a jerking and sound (tock) from under the car (transmission or differential area)... Engine in limp mode and not changing gears... I turned off... Run again trying the triptonic as in my previous post going up to 5th then to D... Started to react normally... Went to the dealer... They check and cleared the codes... Told me also to come back if it repeats...

This morning back to square one... The same jerking at the beginning... Limp mode and etc...

I checked the site the closest problem to mine is
http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r170-slk-class/1197201-transmission-does-not-engage.html

Anyone had similar problems and how did they solved it..?

Find out the codes and post it here, or even better, in the W210 forum. The moderator there (loubapache) is an expert on these gearboxes. Don't just take the dealers word for the problem - they'll ream you.

They cleared the codes to see if it was just a fluke. Hopefully, they documented the codes to compare with the codes you will get now. Post confirmed codes here so we can advise.

Let me start by reminding that I am in Paris (France)... My SLK is a European 1999 with a 2000 cc non-compressed engine (111.946) and an automatic gearbox (722.602)... The codes that the service provided me are 97, 132 and 135. I don't know if these codes are different from the US codes... Based on the above mentioned error codes can anyone help me to diagnose the problem..?

The codes are the same as the US codes.

There is no active fault (yet) and all these are intermittent codes. They are caused by an intermittent electrical connection and that is why your car did not go into (electric) limp mode. I would monitor it to see if the problems come back. If yes, then re-read the codes.

97 (001): This actually is not a faulty code. It means no fault stored.

132 (036): CAN: Communication from engine management faulty or engine temperature implausible

135 (039): CAN: Engine management communication faulty

How to restore the memory of the transmission..?

Apparently my probleme is related to lost of memory (the battery was disconnected for three weeks) of the automatic transmission (type: 722.602)... Is there DIY option or do I have to take it to the dealer...
