Hello,
I purchased part 126 270 44 77 for my tranny 722.323 at local MB dealer due to slippage after checking my vacuum and modulator parts, the new springs are larger in length and diameter and thus do not fit into the green piston housing ( see uploaded pics from the copied thread on K1 replacement). My MB local dealer whom i ordered from insists they should fit, was wondering if anyone else had a character building experience such as this, i followed the thread for replacement DIY Mercedes 722.3 722.4 722.5 Transmission K1 Piston Spring Repair Kit Install started by member HATTENATOR
might they have packed the wrong part in package? can the green housing shrink from heat in the housing?
they also told me cannot replace little green housing, not available
and to boot the black plastic attachment in the pic is broken.
lovely,
any help greatly appreciated
Mike

If the black plastic is broken, then game over. Buy another kit. They are cheap.

The White & Black plastic should click-in like a lock(with some strength to compress the new longer/harder spring), no twisting is needed. Looking at your black plastic, looks like the head is no longer there.
