Bellhousing is the same. A manual 116 would be very nice.Is the pedal cluster interchangable between the w123 and w116? Did they have manual w116 in europe?

Yes it was a manual option on the W116 280S/280SE's and the 350SE.
I don't know if the pedal cluster is interchangeable on 123/116 series..
The turbodiesel's never had a manual option, but a manual from a non-turbo will fit.
You'll need the front end of a driveshaft from a 300D/123/manual if your car is W116/SWB (300SD)

SWEEET!!!! I have looked at the pedal assembly and it looks like a simple interchange. I am goin for mileage. I have a rearend out of a 420sel on its way WOO-HOO! The engine is tore down to the bare bones. I gotta put new sleeves in it, but when I am done I will have something worth having. Without a car payment.
