I think I read in my owner's manual recently that there was no dipstick. I know that sounds crazy, but that's what I believe it said.

Nope,no dip stick.
I have found one for 55.00 US.
Read one thread where someone found one for 35.00,trying to find out where.
Also need to find other parts needed ie. filter, etc.

There is a transmission dipstick available ........

There is a transmission dipstick available, but it's considered a diagnostic tool, and cannot be left in place. If I remember correctly it was quite expensive at about $30.00, don't quote me on that, I'm not sure.
The cap that is on the dipstick tube is frangible and will break when you take it off. A new cap is available at the dealer and cost under three dollars, or at least it used to......

Dip Stick

Same dealer I found.
I think this one is different from those sold in the past.
The new ones are a little higher priced, plus I included shipping charges.
Not sure what dealer charges but I bet $100.00 just might cover taxes on bill !
