mrbocaIt is under the lid of the module compartment at the passenger side under the hood. The module compartment is just in front of the firewall. The TCM is the module closest to the fuse and relay module , K40.
Wrong side. I said passenger side. People get confused where right and left is as it changes where you look at it from.
i read with OBD..and got these 2 codes ...and it did clear themAs far as I know, transmission codes on a W210 can only be read and erase thu the 38 pin port with a scanner capable of reading MB codes and a COMPATIBLE adapter cord.
I do recall someone posting in the past that he was able to do so thru the OBD II port with certain scanner.
thanx help ..ordered a dipstick...and understand the connector issue that you mentioned....appreciate the input..will let you know how goesRight hand side is from driver's seat! That's the fuse box.
Two thing you need to check first:
1) Transmission fluid level with the PROPER MB dipstick tool. Engine must be running and in park.
2) Transmission electrical connector (pilot bushing) for fluid intrusion. Lever must be flip down and plug removed.
