The shifter for my transfer case has begun to shake really bad. It only does it when I'm pullin up a hill or starting off from a dead stop. Shaking smoothes out very quickly once I hit around 3500+RPM or get some speed.

I thought that maybe the transfer case bracket or oneo f the rubber mounting bushings had broke, but they all look O.K.

Any ideas? I'm taking it to the shop Monday for an oil and filter change and wondered if I should change the fluids in the transfer case or have them look at any other mounting brackets.

Appreciate any help you can provide. This started real suddenly and seems to be getting worse over the past two weeks.

Check the mountings of the transfer and the rear mount of the main gear box.
Check the security of and the rubbers in the torsion stay bar on the tbox.
