hi, i just bought an 82 300d and now that i have it home i have found a very strange problem. when you put the transmission in reverse in runs a stream of fluid from the hole where the front trans seal would be, as soon as you take it out of reverse in stops. you can put in drive and it will stop leaking. i took it to a trans shop and the guy told me that he had never heard of one doing that but he said the pressure inside the trans in reverse is the highest and that might be why it only leaks in reverse. he recommended a new seal and shaft bushing at the tune of 350.00. i was hoping someone else may have had this problem and could direct me to what it may be. thanks for all replys

that would be it .. unless you want to not go in reverse and / or constantly filling up the tranny fluid..
u may want to go for a rebuild when the tranny is out..
