yep......I got bored with it......I want something more exciting and flashy. Guess, I have been used to the power(both hands on the steering wheel) with my 1000-hp Viper and the gawk factor

....therefore, I know I will get flamed for this, I am seriously thinking of trading it in with either the following

1. Gallardo(yellow or orange)
2. Murcielago (Yellow, orange, Lime)
3. Ferrari Spyder(Red)

if you are or know someone who wants to deal, trade in or buy it, please PM me.......It has LO-JACK and Perma Plate. It has 980 miles. Silver/Pewter

My first thought is that I hope you broke it in properly(sl65).
Secondly, I think that the the new ferrari f430 is what I would step (up) to. I saw a brand new one and sat in it at a sneak preview of the chicago auto show. Obviously I did not drive it so it might even be slower than the sl65 is. But, I think the gallardo probably is slower as well, with alot more wow! I drove the murciealago when it first came out and that thing is the real deal supercar! and priced like it! I guess I would go with either the murcy or the f430, not the gallardo.
The SL is maybe the one of the greatest sleeper cars out there. I hear ya with no WOW factor though.

I was thinking about purchasing 1 of those 3 cars in im not sure how many years, but its a bloody hard choice, depends if u want convertible or not, but the ferraris with convertible i don't like too much with the top on, top off is great. I'd take Gallardo of Murcielago, but I'm not clear on the different i guess power but based on looks my top 2 choices are ferrari and gallardo. Can anyone explain the diff between the gallardo and murcielago. Whats the difference in price anyway I've been told so many things lately. And I've been to lazy to look it up :p

A convertible version of the Murciélago will arrive in October, and a convertible Gallardo is coming in January 2006. An entirely new Lamborghini model line is due out around 2008 or 2010.

Yeah, the convertible will the first thing I will miss and second the power. 738lbs ot TQ is the highest for a production car. Not even Enzo comes close to the TW of the 65.

The Viper is 2002 but it went a huge modification last year. Put in a GTS-R motor, bored it and then put a stroker kit, add a supercharger, change the Fuel system, add a computer....etc...etc. :)

My peresonal consern is that your 65 is like you are driving a lambo but daily because of the performance but lambo has more wow efect.
Yep, the usual crowd and fans of it are guys. They know about it but for girls, it is "just another Benz".

I am tired of explaining to them when they ask why is this "SL500" has a different badge but kinda looks the same ...lol.

I always get the question, "Is that your car?" :)

The Viper crowd are mostly girls trying to flash me just to let them sit or in short, a babe magnet.....lol

I gave the 65 a shot as I am after performance and power but if I need power, I will drive the Viper so I need something like the Viper but has more gawk factor :)

I understand what you mean viper65. You put the 65 and 350 next to eachother and most people here wouldnt know the difference. I hope Mercedes don't make the same mistake again next time.

All I can say is ... wow, this all seems rather impetuous for a 32 year old man. No offense, but dude, most people buy the SL because of it's "understated" elegance. In fact, it is one of the selling points of the vehicle that has made it such a success over the years. It is the mature mans sports car. At thirty-two, aren't you even slightly concerned that you may look like a man in middle-age crisis driving an exotic? Perhaps you have so much money that the car just happens to fit your profile. Perhaps you don't mind the beating you'll take on trade-in. If so good for you, congratulations on whatever your choice.

Thanks....I bought it for the power and performance. Just easily got bored about it as you said it is understated and always go below the radar of exoticness.

lol...yeah, actually, I always get asked "Is that your car"?
