I'm interested in purchasing a travel trailer. Does anyone know if I can tow the EVer-lite camper which weights about 5400 dry with a tongue wt of 750. I know the tongue wt on the Mercedes is rated at 600.

Thanks

I am pretty sure you can do it as I did tow that weight with ML.
But US downrate the MB for towing . While MLs are rated for 8000 lb in Europe, they are legal for only 5000 in US.
The worse thing that might happen >>> you might need weight distribution bars,

Thanks, what I'm realy worried about is the tongue wt of 600 lbs. I've read that the wt distribution doesn't really change the effective wt on the tongue?

WD bars distribute the tongue weight to front axle.
MB in US is not really advertised as serious tow vehicle, but most of the pickups allow much higher trailer weight with WD.
Still GL has way better design for towing due the short rear overhang than any pickup.
