I can't find my owners manual, but have a towing question. I'm freaking out b/c my brother got my car towed (don't ask) over the weekend. I got the car out of the impound lot on Tuesday AM and spoke to the guy to confirm that it was flat bedded, but failed to ask about the hook ups. I was crawling under the car last night looking for where they would have attached the chains to load on to the truck, but can find anything. The weird part is that my car is semi-clean and I couldn't even locate a spot under the car where the road dirt had been altered. At least that would have pointed out that I was in the right location and I could have figured it out from there.

Has anyone had their car on a flat bed truck? Is this a big deal? The only thing keeping me sane is knowing the car came from Germany and has more than likely been secured in some way before this incident, but that is doing little to help my stress level.

Flatbedded is the only way to go. Had one 01 MB and one 05 Jag flatbedded to dealer without any harm.

My 01 E Class has been towed on a flatbed twice with no harm whatsovever. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

tow hook cover??

There are tow hook covers on the front and rear bumper. Pop these off with a slot head driver and you screw in a hook. Thats how they pull it up onto the flatbed.
