Hi folks, looking for an opinion, this is bad for a 1st post and will ruin my reputation as a mechanic right off, I am reinstalling the head and torqued the bolts to spec, and then did the 90 degree tighten and the second 90 degree. The problem is that instead of 90 degrees I went 180 degrees twice. So now I have turned the head bolt a full turn instead of the 1/2 turn.

Now the question, do I loosen and start over or leave where it is with the extra 1/2 turn. What I am wondering is when the engine gets hot will the bolts break.

I would loosen them and re torque. If you leave them over torqued then the head may warp.
