HOW DO I FIX OIL LEAK ON 2000 500 SL ABOVE WINDSHIELD
You probably have leaky roof lock rams. Very common issue on the r129. I recommend replacing both of the rams above the windshield. Its very typical to replace one and put it all back together, test it and have the other one start leaking. Its a simple job. You just need the 2 roof lock rams, a bottle of hydraulic top oil, and some cleaner for the leaked oil. If you need a walk through on the job feel free to ask.

Just a warning...in many cases on the hydraulic system on the r129 there can be several weak rams. Once the weakest link is replaced then the next will not be far behind....just monitor for oil coming from under the car also.
