I had a very badly leaking lock cylinder. The headliner is soaked on the leading edge corners and along the windows. The window seals are shot so I will replace those.
Any idea how to clean the leather/alcantara of oil without wrecking the thing?
And any idea on how to replace the top window seals?

Also, what glue/adhesive is used to glue the plastic rivet holders back on?

I found the answer on the alcantara cleaning - ethyl alcohol. Everclear! Seems to be working. Spray, dab, spray, dab. and so on.

And I found a great answer on the clips - a two part epoxy, mount the creme rivet holder upside down and screw the things on with a #3 x 1/2 screw. Good stuff.

Still need to know how to replace the window seals - A2307900598 left and A2307900698 right.

Everclear/ethyl alcohol might work on a small stain, but it isn't working on the headliner. A half bottle and the oil is still saturated.
Thing is ruined.
So, that means I can get more aggressive. Mixing up some Dawn dish soap to try, and if that doesn't work, Simple Green. I have nothing to lose at this point.

Same thing happened to me with our SL55. We patted it dry, then used small quantities of dish soap mixed with water, then repeatedly applied baby powder several times to soak up the oily mess, then used Tech stain remover. Grey alcantara headliner turned out like new.

Multiple cleanings with Dawn worked well. Didn't think of the baby powder to suck up the excess oil. Great idea.

Microfiber cloths are great at absorbing oil. After I use them for polishing the car, I wash them and they become garage rags. They will soak up spilled oil and clean oily parts better than chemicals.
