I'm replacing the 16inch wheels with 225/55 16 tires that came with the 1996 SL500 with 17inch wheels with 245/45 17 tires from a 1999 SL500. They should slip right on and have the same revs per mile.
My question is should I use the same lug torque as specified in the owners manual for the 16inch wheels and the same tire pressure as as the 225/55 16 tires as stated on the fuel filler door?
What's your opinion Luke, or anyone else that has experience?

In the past Luke has posted that the tire pressure should be the one posted on the fuel door. I would use the same torque on the wheels. I have three sets of wheels in different sizes for various uses and seasons. I use the factory recommended torque for all of them.
