Hi guys,

I hope this is the right sub forum. Is there a way to replace the original windows at an E 320 (2004) with original MB tinted windows? I just don't like those tinting foils on the windows for some reasons. Even if they are applied in a watertank totally submerged to avoid air bubbles. It just seams not right for me.

Or are there companies out there which have real tinted windows and cheaper then the original MB ones?

I'm just curious.

If so has anyone a approx. price range for the rear window as well as the side windows in the back?

Thank you!

Thanks for the info but this is green not tinted right? Got one more question since I'm wearing transistion glasses... :) Are there transistion windshields out there which become darker while sun light is hitting them and becoming clear again while driving in the evening/overcast days?

not that i know of i only have a glare reducing front windshield, that i had installed by the dealer. i wear transitions whenever i don't wear my contacts and it works well. it just looks a bit nasty when washing the car. but i also have requirement by the State of Texas, due to my bad vision on my left eye. as for the rest of the windows they do have a tinting foil application, that was warrantied for life by the dealer, its a light tint but reflects 70% of sunlight.

01rollas,

how much did you pay for the glare reducing windshield and how much for the film? I got an offer here in San Diego from a company that would charge $140 for 7 Windows and include the take off part of the 2 films from the driver and passenger side in case I would get a fixing ticket since I want limo-dark. The offer mentions $ 20 for both windows then again to re-tint after the ticket is signed off!

the windshield was $1800 including installation and $320 for the windows. i have had that done (extra tint added after signed off) but it was on my corolla, in Texas they don't really enforce the tinting laws they way they should so i got i away with it.
