Hello all... I have a 06 c230 with 20% all the around (not windshield). I have read a bunch of posts stating that people lost their keyless entry after having their windows tinted... I see a lot of people replace the Antenna Amplifier. I am wondering if I should replace my Antenna Amplifier or replace my tint... It seems that people have lousy radio reception when the Antenna Amplifier is bad... My radio reception is fine. My key only works about 50% of the time when I hold it close to IR sensor on the driver door. I have been unable to use my keyless entry at a distance at all. So, if I am getting good radio reception, would my Antenna Amplifier be good? It gets perfect FM and as good as AM reception as I guess you could get... I am about to replace either the Antenna Amp or the Tint. Both are about the same price. I am just trying to choose wisely and the radio reception thing kind of threw me off. The tint isn't your problem... You know that IR sensor is good for a long distance, and if yours is only working 50% of the time millimeters away from the sensor there's something else going on. I have the same issue with my C32 AMG... Sometimes it works great, and then sometimes it doesn't work at all.

Don't know exactly what my tint is but it's dark. I have no problem with keyless entry. Sounds like you bigger problems.
