I know it's not a E-Class, but I do know they share roughly the same powertrain. My 2011 GLK 350 has 318,000 Km on the clock. When is the timing chain recommended that it be replaced? And if there is no recommendation, whose odometer reads more and hasn't had any problems? I'm selling it, and the new owner is concerned.

Thanks in advance,
D

Thanks for your reply.

According to Wikipedia, my GLK falls well outside the balance shaft issue.

I'm still looking into it, though. I so far haven't encountered any other 3.5-powered Benz of the same age with this kind of mileage, so mine might just be a reference point.
