Original timing chains do not have the retaining circlips at the link. What's the best protocol when replacing the chain...use the clips or "peen" over the posts like the original? This will be a future project.

The dealer sells a nifty bronze master link. In case one of the tiny retaining ring disappears, its a good idea to cover openings with rags.
