Interesting example,i actually like it with the kit and wide rims, its extreme but tasteful also. I think if it was a bright Red shade or similar it would be too 'in your face' but the deep metallic Blue keeps it subtle.
Are you considering buying it then ?....bet you would be heartbroken selling your stunning SL AMG though.
Good luck anyway.

Cheers Crawfy !

VERY UNUSUAL, Thank all the gods that ever were ONE OF A KIND WITH EXTREMELY LOW MILES Probably because the owner was too embarrassed to be seen driving it. FULL TESTEROSA BODY KIT For those who don't have enough testarosa of their own, and need a supplement. Why not just take Viagra?, SIDE GROUND EFFECTS, REAR SPOILER, FRONT BUMPER GROUND EFFECTS, HARD TOP WITH STAND, CAR COVER, CUSTOM ALLOY WHEELS, CUSTOM EXHAUST AND BUILT IN RADAR DETECTOR. EXCELLENT CONDITION IN AND OUT. THE CONVERTIBLE TOP IS NEW. ALWAYS GARAGED. MUST BE SEEN!!!! And you probably still won't believe it.

I wonder if we ought to start a separate thread for vehicles such as this. I can think of two others immediately.. The Batmobile and the 4WD mods. I'm sure there are others available upon more reflection...

The :D smiley is battling the  smiley.

POS,

Sad news if you mean it.

Your 500SL is simply the nicest AMG design I have ever seen. In the context of what AMG usually do it actually adds to the overall design aesthetic of the original car making it purposeful but elegant at the same time. This is not something AMG manages to do very often and makes your car very rare and desirable.

The Koenigmobile may be rare but is it any wonder?

Yours is a Euro 500SL is it not? A 560 will be tame by comparison.

Still, if your heart's set good luck.

More likely a Koenig clone. If it was the real deal it'd be worth owning just for the rarity factor. Maybe only for the rarity factor.

I actually like it! I wouldn't give up an AMG 107 for it, but if I was looking for a 107 and came across it, i would probably buy it over a stock car!

I think POS was being facetious.

When I lived in Germany, the 80's, I saw several of those. Not particularly bad looking at the time. That was a time when wide was in just think of some of the RUF Porsche's or the BMW specialist guy in Bavaria as well. Don't know what I'd think if I saw one in the flesh today.

It was a tongue-in-cheek joke - whatever the hell that really means. The AMG has now been in my care for two years, and even if I sold it, there isn't anything out there on the market with which I'd want to replace it. Always wanted an air-cooled 911, but there's that dang depreciation thing.

I told my wife I'd either (a) sell the AMG when I HAVE to raise some money, or (b) it'd become the car that my 6 and 4-yr old boys talk about in high school, "Dad's had that car forever!" I'm for the second option.

I love the SL AMG - it's an absolute pinnacle to me. The Koenig is rare, but it's not as tastefully done as the AMG - nor is it in as good condition.

Couldn't agree more.
