Wheel Tire Automotive parking light Car Automotive side marker light

I realize my build will definitely not be to everyones liking but thought I would share. The blue car above is mine which I have photoshopped with the flares placed where I want them. I have already found the info for bumper tucking on this forum very helpful and plan on utilizing Nobby's info for lowering the front springs. Below is what I am shooting for with the finished product.

It’s kind of like getting a tattoo that covers your face. It may be fun for a few months, but you later realize you are permanently disfigured.

if you plan to send the car straight to the junkyard when done then go ahead. But if you have any desire to retain the value I advise you not to chop giant holes in it.

I agree with both Nate and Dugald, it's your baby so do as you please as long as accept it will be tricky to sell her in the future. If she's a keeper than problem solved. :D

Looking forward to the progress.
I'm thinking that we are at the point of the 107 life cycle where more restomods will start taking place on the less valued examples.

I like the opened up rear wheel arches (never was a fan of the factory design), this with the flares and appropriately sized wheels/tires will look great. I think you will have to somehow lose the US bumpers to get the best effect though.

Probably look better with the "wide body kit" that we have seen where body bulged out from just behind the door.

True restomods will be coming to R107's. I have seen it for the last 5 years with muscle cars with many selling for more now than clean original cars. If you are going to do the flares you need to pick the wheels carefully and the bumpers need to go. Then the question is what do you have planned for the engine, suspension and interior?

Please fill out your profile.

Year and model of car and where its located.

What are you trying to accomplish with the flared fenders. Is it to fit wider wheels?
