Hey guys! My car was at the dealership from early Monday until late Wednesday. For months I keep hearing a thumping/bumping/vibration feedback from the front end. Most noticeable when going slow, turning, coming to a stop and of course over not perfectly smooth road. I showed the dealer many posts from our Board about front swaybar links...and he thought that was going to be it.
To his (and my surprise); they found that the ECU for my Airmatic Suspension faulted and was stuck between Comfort and Normal (thankfully not stuck in Sport...Sport setting is brutal in a 63!)
They also found something loose with my rear hatch and rear seat behind the driver seat (again!!).
Rear hatch and rear seat noises (creaking & rattling) are totally gone...but I still hear and feel the front end thump/bump. I think it's my swaybar link(s), but they say no. Any advice? Thanks a lot!!!
Btw, 3 days with a rental, metallic gold 2.7L Chrysler 300C with velour interior...is what we ALL need to appreciate and fall in love again with our MLs. Wow, that car is just so bad, on so many levels. Trying to be positive though...it can run over anything and you don't feel a thing (supremely comfortable!) if you like that!!
