I'm just curious to know why the PRE-MBUSA ones are better ?? Are the 02+ headaches ?? What are the problems with the later ones. I only ask because I'm looking into getting one in the next couple years. Thxs !!

Do a search here. It's been discussed ad nauseum. [xx(]

How about the guy with the 1978 model? I have a 1979 pre-production prototype. Sent him an e-mail but no response yet...

I've exchanged a couple of emails with him. He is aware that there is no such thing as a 1978, but will not provide a VIN to check the year of manufacture.

Also, that steering wheel is 1983 or later and the vehicle has not been Federalized.

As indicated in a previous post, do a search on this forum. This topic has been beaten to death here ad nauseum many times before.
