This 560 could have passed for one of 7k miles. Stunning condition, but the ending price... oof! What do ya'll think?

Maybe it's a sign that w126 values are on the up? It looks like a very clean example...i think good W126s are getting harder to find... Look at this sec, the dealer wants $52k Oz about $35k US!! For that money we can all buy a wide body amg sec...

Sweet to hear that.....

If this is true, many of the guys here in the forum have pricey possessions.....

i think in 10 years time w126 values will go up substantially...esp excellent examples with low mileage...it's only natural if there's less and less of something desirable it's value will go up. i mean the person who bought that car on ebay probably isn't a w126 nut, they look at the pics, and think wow a nice merc for less than $20k...

Whoa, maybe I need to turn my car...

I just purchased my 420sel a couple weeks ago for $7,700 with 75,000 one owner miles, charcoal with light tan interior. I know I didn't steal it but thought it was fair for what I received. I like it too much to sell it though, it took too long to find. Of course, everything is for sale for the right price!

It is a nice car, I just find it amusing that in PA you can have a 1987 registerd as a clasic, but here in Washington a 1984 can't.. Even if it's a rair car... GWAD I hate this state...And I can't even register it in another state... No title... Damn extortionest state... Wants me to pay 2 times for my title...

If the car is as nice as it looks from the pics, all original, and truly needs nothing (i.e. it was in for pre-purchase inspection and had EVERYTHING done that it needed...seals, gaskets, shocks, etc.) then that is a high but fair price. Top dollar for a 1987 with 75K miles in my opinion, but if it's a top-dollar car who am I to argue? You get what you pay for I guess.

The funniest part is that the car was for sale for a long time on cacars and in the MBCA Star, and asking price was $18,500. So he got above his asking price on ebay!

Wow.. great to see one of those cream puffs come up and get a high asking price. I wonder if this sale went through... most of the time you end up seeing the same car back on the auction block.
