I kept my ML home for one day yesterday and today I drove it, and not one single yellow triangle light nor the bas/esp and the 2 lights that come with it lit up. Can someone here explain this? I find this really strange but Im not complaining.

It just missed you after a long needed period of separation, which in this case was one day.

:) Maybe the light is just a way to tell us our MLs need a vacation once in a while like everybody else.

In all seriousness, my 2001 ML320's use to have no light when first started from cold. then the ESP/BAS light would come up after driving 20 miles or so. Turn out to be a bad lateral acceleration sensor. $100 part and 45 minutes DIY later, everything is fine now.

Congrats on fixing your esp/bas problem with the lateral sensor. I bought one from ebay this week and its on the way. I hope I solve the problem like you did. Thanks for the post
