Hi, i have ordered some H&R 50mm springs for the 280cew, the listing was in German and i did not notice that it was for 4 cylinder cars instead of the 6 cylinder cars that is a different part number..

can anyone tell me what the difference would be? and would they fit?.. maybe be just a little softer? car maybe a little lower due to extra weight of the 6 cylinder engine? or would it be clearance issues on the brakes?

Any suggestions most welcome

Thanks Jim

Also any ideas on shorter shocks?

I have installed a 300D engine straight into a 240D, and neither her stance nor her ride has changed one bit despite the 60kg heavier engine. The 300D weighed 1445 kg, the six-cyl 280E weighed 1460kg, while the 240D weighed 1385kg and I believe the 230E weighed 1350kg, according to South African owner's manuals.

Maybe this helps?
