I think the thermostat on the 2.6 just went. Temp went a little over 90, aux fan came on.
Of the two thermostat hoses, the top one feels OK, but the bottom one feels empty.
The W201 manual is on another computer that froze up, and is being fixed right now.
Does the thermostat have a gasket, or an O ring?

I got the car home by having the heater on full blast, while the temp stayed slightly over 90.
For 2 weeks, I had a tiny leak from what I guess just left of the water pump, from the front at the center of the car, just behind the radiator. I hope it's not the pump though (bearing leak), and just a hose.

Thanks in advance .for any advice.
Cheers

I figured why mess arouind, when all hoses are probably past their prime.
So I ordered all radiator hoses, the fat short bypass hose from water pump to cylinder head, the lower radiator 3 way hose, all heater hoses, incl the little overflow, thermostat with O-ring (thanks Jippi!)
plus hose clamps and MB coolant from my parts importer / jobber buddy.
I should be able to pick up the parts by noon Friday.
Cheers
