I know on gas turbo's you can benefit from wrapping the turbo with isulation that keeps the turbo cooler. has anyone done this on the diesls? if so have you seen any benefit or drawbacks? i'm considering doing it as you can get univeral wrapping kits for just about any turbo.

Never wrap your turbo with anything. It is a sure way to overheat and destroy it.

I race turbo cars and that is the last thing you would want to do. You want the turbos to remain as cool as possible, not the opposite which is what wrapping will do.
