It appears you are swapping out the U.S. bumpers for the Gen 2 Euro ones so the front and rear lips will fit. Locating a decent set of those Gen 2 bumpers is challenging. Please PM me if you know of a reliable source.

I believe the PR Tuning kit is listed on eBay by one or more vendors. Here's one being listed for $2,300:

Here's another standard or widebody kit from DMC that's made of much stronger carbon fiber material (TUV approved) for those who are not turned off by its cost. This kit comes with the front and rear AMG Euro bumpers with the lip spoilers molded into one piece. You can also mount the side skirts with or without the widebody panels for those who are not too keen on cutting up the rear fenders.
Kudos for the period correct embellishments. Looks good so far.

Hey guys some updates:

The car has been in the paint shop for the last 8 months having the bodykit fitted. It has been a very long process due to the amount of work required to fit the fiberglass body kit and make it perfect. Shant the "AMG king" and his CMS Motorsports team at Marina West Auto Body are completing the wide body transformation and paint. Shant is every good especially with anything 80's and 90's OEM plus. His shop produces amazing work and I highly recommend him and his team to anyone looking to restore their car. He is very particular about making the car perfect and he also has 3 original wide body C126's he is using as reference. I checked out the car last week as it is back from having the body work completed and it is looking amazing even without the paint yet. The attention to detail, the body gaps, body lines and contours of the fiberglass to steal is perfect, I am, really excited.

I also went to see Phil at VR wheels last week and picked up my custom steeped lip 18" OZ AMG Aero 3's. They were original 17x8.5 and 17x10, now they are 18x10.5 and 18x12 to fit the AMG wide body.

Thanks vdubpower, yes I think being such a bid car with the bodykit and lowering the 18's will help with ground clearance and it will also fill the fenders nicely.

Hey guys, I went out to CMS motorsports yesterday and took some much anticipated progress photos. She goes to paint sometime in the next few weeks. I was great to see the car before paint and see how well the kit as been fitted to the car, especially the rear quarters. Wow, it's crazy how wide it looks over the stock wheels.

YU-MMY!
Update: 6 Speed manual conversion has been sold

I have decided that this build is not going to be a manual car. I was completely setup, ready to do the 6 speed manual conversion with all the necessary parts. After talking with fellow car enthusiasts and doing my own further research I decided it was better to leave the car with it's original automatic transmission. The deciding factors were really for me personally and may differ from other peoples opinions. If you are wondering why I went and purchased the manual conversion in the first place it was because I had a dream, and that dream was me flying down PCH1 in my black wide body SEC AMG (this dream is before I owned the car by the way lol) , music booming, sun shining, pillarless windows down and me slapping through the gears as I hit the turns, V8 rumbling, tires screeching and Porsche's in my rear view chasing me down. Dreams are free right!

Now here is the dream crusher list:
1. Turns out these cars are cruisers, not sport cars so for me I did not see the point in a manual trans anymore.
2. I live in LA, traffic is bad and very really is it clear or am I free racing down PCH. lol
3. Tesla - they are so fast that it's over for me now, having the fastest car doesn't matter anymore. A Tesla with 5 people, towing a boat will destroy me in my 560SEC. I believe it's all about that visceral feeling that each car has, and each car is different. The visceral feeling I now associate the 560SEC is one of comfort, luxury and cruising with ease, thats what makes these big 80's Benz's cool and thats how they make you feel good. Now a 5 or 6 speed manual 190E with a C36 AMG engine is a different story.

Widebody is looking good, love the wheels
Do you have any details pics of how the inner arches were constructed, were the rear quarters glued and riveted, i see your lower trim panel sits very well and follows the contor of the kit
I have seen some widebodys where this panel does not sit flush with the lower skirt and spoils the whole build

Loving the build wyzer. I think you made the right decision on sticking with the automatic. I have a 560SEC and a 300E, the W126 chassis feels very cruisey and wants to travel long distance at speed well suited for auto, my w124 is very nimble and the auto makes it feel sluggish, it’s crying out for a manual, I’ve got a Nissan CD00A 6 speed waiting to go in it.

Hey guys,

Sorry for the long overdue update. The car is still at the paint shop. It's been well over a year but that is the thing about projects, sometimes it's out of your control. Anyway it's in it's final stages of getting the body work perfect. Shant and his guys at CMS Motorsports are working over any small imperfections because the car is going to be 040 Black the body work has to be PERFECT. I had some free time so I went out and test fitted the 18" AMG OZ wheels, They fit absolutely perfect which is insane considering it was all guess work done before the wide body kit was fitted correctly and the car was still at stock height so I was guessing the offset distance after the effect of some camber from the lowering.

Here are some pictures of the wheels test fitted on the car.

Last update for today... I received the air ride kit from the awesome guys at AIR LIFT PERFORMANCE. Their service is amazing and the quality of there parts that I have seen so far is exceptional. The kit came complete minus the actual struts and bags which I have sourced from a different supplier. It was very had to find a struts and bags to fit the C126 chassis. In my search I was actually scammed by Dolud when I purchased his c126 sair strut kit and he never delived the product or returned my money for over 1 year. I eventually managed to get my money back through the bank so buyer beware do not purchase anything from Dolud.com (Victor Dolud). There is a private facebook group called "Victor Dolud Scammed us" with so many people that he has scammed it's crazy, must be a few hundred thousand dollars he has scammed out of people.

The AIR LIFT PERFORMANCE kit is their 3H 3P kit, its the all new air management system from Air Lift Performance which uses both height and pressure sensors to provide the most innovative air suspension control ever.
