I checked my oil yesterday and did not notice the smell but I'll be darned if I can read that dip stick!
I followed the recommendations here and still cannot tell if it is above or below the minimum mark. I pulled out the dipstick, wiped it off, put it back and the the next time I pulled it out I layed it on a white cloth but it was not still not clear where the oil line was. Any other suggestions or should I just be prudent and add some oil?
The oil appeared to be very light - not dark at all.
Car wouldn’t turnover one night, when my wife went out to start it after having dinner with the girls. All the lights would come on, but no crank. Tried to jump it with a portable jump box. No luck. Tried both keys. Went back later than night, with another jump box, and it fired...
The car was driving fine, then suddenly the check engine light came on and the car lost some power and I could feel it like it was missing or shaking the engine.
It drove like crap until I got home. I turned off the car then started it back up to drive into the garage, the check engine light...
I was hoping everyone would like to share a few choice pictures of their SLK on this thread.
Perhaps a forum admin could make it a Sticky at the top of the forum so people could get to see what other SLKs look like from all over the world.
