The world is a bit dimmer with the passing of Nelson Mandela yesterday.

Amen. I remember that when I saw him on live TV walking tall, proud and strong out of prison I almost shed a tear for the fact that they had taken away almost all of his best years from him. However, he overcame that and had many more good years ahead.

We live a few blocks from his Houghton residence - lots of activity and the people are sad but happy for knowing such a great person.
