This week the OTHER brake light failed(L was replaced last month).
It was impossible for me to remove so to MB today-one hour later,"burn marks found on R/R brake light bulb holder"-replaced right rear tail light assy.NO CHARGE.

I thought that MB had revised this assy and fixed it....NOT SO.
In the showroom a nice black CLS,$104,000 and a SLK 350,Brabus for additional $25,000 or so over the $50,000 sticker.Saw the chrome roll bars with B on and B wheels,but thats all visible for your $25,000....what else do Brabus do for the $$ ?
They have 4-5 other 350s on the floor for immediate delivery,including a 7 speed in white.

I have some extra bulbs if u need them I had mine replaced and the mercedes guy left a box in my car full of em

And the "mercedes guy" didn't want to take them back after you told him about it?

hehe all the bulbs mb can sale wont solve this problem. So far *knock on wood* I sodered the brakelights into the board position and they havent arched and burnt out yet. Since they are both new you might want to try one of the fixes ppl have come up with to save you the hassles in the future. Honestly they really shoulda fixed this problem.

i am having the same problem with this as well..like my driver side brake light would go out..and exterior light flashes..but sometimes it goes away..when i have done nothing with it..and then next day later it goes off and the light flashes again..i have changed the bulb before..but it was a pain since it hard to reach..i might was well take this back to the dealer to fix this and the other problem that i have posted.
