Merry Christmas!
First of all, to those who are celebrating i wish you all the best during your holidays! Merry Christmas MB forum. :)

Ceramic coating results after 2 days

After 2 days with ceramic coating, i'm very impressed with what this thing does. It actually works!
Even though it was my first time to ever do this and bear in mind that i only applied one coat, the end result is amazing.

What did i do on 22.12.2019?
I cleaned the car from dirt and all contaminations, then i polished it (not whole car) and in the end, applied ceramic coating product on the whole roof section, then the car was driven for 2 days in almost non-stop rain conditions.
Down below you can see the latest pictures, the roof is shining like it was nothing. And this was after the car dried out in the garage. No marks, stains or anything like that. Look at the reflection, and this is just after one basic polishing and one coat of ceramic coating. Total DIY job.

Also, i applied some sort of protection for all glass sections on the car and it's amazing how water behaves on this stuff, it's much better to drive at night in heavy rain.
Here are the pictures of ceramic coating and glass protection products that i used.

I recommend it to anyone who wants to play around with this for the first time and see the results. Can't wait to do rest of the car in more detail.
Another tip, do the research regarding ceramic coating before you use it, because if its wrongly applied it can destroy the paintwork.
Also, i was kinda not believing that this does any good but now when i see it after a basic work and little effort i'm totally convinced it's good, it must be a lot better after you invest more time and effort.

Happy holidays!

New rear brake discs

I was visiting a mechanic today to figure out why the parking brake was so weak. I thought that the set of brake pads inside the drums has to be replaced but that was not the case.
After closer inspection, we found out that the inside of the disc is worn out and therefore there was no good contact between the brake pad and disc and all of that because of corrosion.
Cleaning the disc from the inside was not possible, removing corrosion just created holes.
Interestingly the old disc is thick as the new one but the inside section is a different story.

After installing two brand new rear discs the parking brake is now a lot stronger, pushing the pedal is not so easy anymore.

Besides this, the car received a set of rubber supporters for the rear balance bar. It's amazing how much comfort gets improved when you replace little things such as these rubbery parts.
I recommend doing it.

Farewell old friend
People say that you never should get emotionally attached to the car but in my case, i couldn't be that person.
C220 w203 was my first car, one that i purchased on my own.
I always maintained it regularly with new parts and other stuff, basically whenever it needed attention i didn't wait and let it "suffer". Mutual appreciation existed always and that proved to be the perfect combination. For a human and a machine.

On the 13th of January, it will be full 4 years since i owned it, and exactly on the same date this year, i will start a new journey with my new MB, more precisely E class W211 2.7 132kw, the year 2005.

W211 was kinda always my wish, and that time when i can afford a decent one finally came. I'm looking forward to this time and i can only hope that the new car will perform at least in the same way as my old friend W203. I'm not expecting much, just reliability that MB always showed (at least in my case).

To those who plan to get their first Mercedes and W203 model, i suggest looking for a face-lift model as that one doesn't have corrosion issues and everything else when it comes to the diesel engine is very good with almost minimal maintenance.

Goodbye W203 you did well and i will always remember your service.

You'll find the E-class to be essentially a larger C-class, so it'll be familiar enough. Thanks for sharing your journey with your C-class!

Thanks for following. :)
Got the E class today, so far so good, i need to be extra careful though, the car is a lot stronger and responsive than my old C class.
I like the fact that it has more space and some other goodies which i didn't have before.

If i start W211 thread you'll know. Till then, wish you all the best. :)
