was on a complete high after getting back from the Giants world series victory parade when a bonehead incident on my part caused this (pic attached)

i'm already anticipating a front bumper replacement. any ideas on what the damage might be? i'll most likely bypass insurance as I don't wanna mess with my rates.

what is your deductable. You are looking at about $300 for the bumper alone, then add on paint and replacement. unless you get one already painted

this guy got a quote for replacement on his and it was $1500, you can find the OEM bumper for $300 online, I would do that and find a shop to paint and install. May want to consider insurance after all

i had a ladder strike mine had to replace the whole thing with labor cost me exactly $1,000 but i went through insurance thinking it was gong to be way more

That sucks! But now you have the opportunity to customize your front end. You might be able to do a C63 bumper (it is shaped differently than ours and has vents down low on each side). Here are some replacement parts:

so just to update folks, my gf's personal trainer's brother owns one of the top yelp rated body shops in san jose and got me a damn good quote of 1100 for a replacement. i'll most likely go that route for an OEM replacement, but maybe i'll change my mind before i take it in on monday. lemme know if any of you folks in san jose and the greater bay area need some body work. i'm sure the body shop will appreciate some new business and could hook you folks up too.
