When I was doing my blower resistor the other day there was not a temp sensor clipped in the spot on the wiper motor cover tray like shown in the videos. My car is a 2000 SL 500,
VIN #WDBFA68F1YF191843. Is it supposed to be there? I've looked and can't find it anywhere? Did they change it to an interior one or?

Thanks

No.

For MY1997 and later years the climate controller gets engine coolant and outside temperature information from the instrument cluster. Prior years had dedicated sensors wired to the controller to provide these temperatures, and that includes the one you apparently see in videos.
