R170 pre facelift wiper clonk noise

The clonk was mostly noticeable on intermittent and was only found when the scuttle was removed, wiper blades refitted and a careful study of the all the moving parts made.

The wiper motor has a circular black casing held on with two T20 Torx bolts to the alloy top section/gearbox. These were loose allowing the black casing to twist and clonk when the motor started.

How to remove boost cut on post-facelift cars (m45 supercharger)

This occurs when boosting over 12psi the system cuts out and you must re-start the car to function correctly again.

1) Remove front and rear engine top covers.
2) Locate the MAP sensor (intake manifold - under the throttle body, not the MAP sensor on the top of the manifold) with 3 wires going to the main harness.
3) Cut the wire that has brown stripe.
5) Solder inline 4000 ohms (4k) resistor and use shrink tubes to cover the open wire.
